kindergarten days

June 2041 - Alex and Piper Smith are 29, Joey and Lizzie are 5, Alice and Charlie are 3.

Most people wouldn't think that having twin toddlers is easy, but compared to having two sets of twins under five, it's a breeze.

Since the school is only a few blocks away, Piper and Alex agreed that Lizzie and Joey can walk to school by themselves. Every morning Piper waves goodbye and watches them proudly head to school. They like being big girls!

They're still best friends, even as they're starting to become more different. Joey is more of a tomboy, and she likes cars and trains while Lizzie is more of a girly girly.

Charlie and Alice miss their sisters while they're away at school, but they like having time to themselves. Charlie loves to play with blocks while Alice prefers to draw.

And of course, they get more attention while Joey and Lizzie are off at school. The dogs Jem and Scout love having all of these kids to play with.

During the day it's just Charlie, Alice, and Piper (and Jem and Scout). Alex works in New Athens as a medical researcher, but he tries to get home as early as possible every night to see his family. Even though life is hectic, the Smith family couldn't be happier.

  1. Two sets of twins! That would be a handful. I can imagine losing a set to school would make the toddlers easier to handle.

The first photo reminds me of the Nanny in Muppet Babies. I like the photo of Alice being licked by the dog too.
