Whitney fell in love with Abhijeet in college, and after college she moves in with him. But their relationship is a lot harder now that they've graduated.
"We're not in college anymore!" Whitney tells him. "You need to grow up."
They were both art majors in college, but Whitney gets a job as a CSI while Abhijeet struggles to make a living as an artist.
"Art is not a grown up job," she says.
"I'm an artist, Whitney," he counters. "You used to be too. I'm not going to sell out just to make more money."
They break up less than a year after she moved in, and she gets her own apartment in New Athens. She's always been logical, focused, and well-planned. But she isn't expecting that she is already expecting Abhijeet's baby.
She gives birth to a boy who she names Keiran. He has his father's dark hair but her green eyes. She isn't sure how she can raise a child on her own, but she knows she has to do whatever she can for him.
